did i mention everything was on the road??! and in florida...which means straight? flat? no shade? well it was. quite. while certainly an interesting experience, this is definitely not my cup of muddy hilly tea. i got what i came for though: a new experience with Team in Training (we raised over $50,000 as a team) that definitely challenged me. our honored patient hero Rob (along with his wife Mindy and 2 greyhound dogs) cheered us on at transitions and welcomed us at the finish line tent. my mom & dad actually made it up to see me race for the first time!

ps. this was also my very first triathlon!
